Lustre Finish (Recommended)
Lustre finish is somewhere between glossy and matte: not as shiny as glossy, but not as flat or dull as a matte finish. Lustre paper has a textured or "pebbled" finish that hides fingerprints. Portraits and wedding photos are typically developed onto a Lustre finish.

Metallic Finish
Metallic finish is a glossy finish with highly saturated color. The image appears as though it has been printed on metal, almost comparable to the back side of aluminum foil. Images tend to really "pop" when printed on metallic paper. One drawback is that bright areas or "highs" will tend to become over-highlighted or "blown out" on a metallic finish.
